Victoria Accommodation
|
There is much more to Victoria than Melbourne, although the capital city is well worth a visit in itself. Backpackers rave about
the nightlife, the bustling restaurants, and the spacious parklands. The Great Ocean Road that winds along the rugged coastline west of Melbourne is famous for its shipwrecks, its cliff formations and the friendly people that live in the towns along the way. The coast to the east of noted for The Entrance and picturesque scenery. Inland are towns like Bright, focus of snow skiing activities in winter, and high-country horse riding in summer. Before you leave Melbourne however, head for Phillip Island, world-famous for the penguin parade. The Murray River is also worth exploring, whether on a houseboat, cruise or by driving on the roads that parallel the river's course.
